Description

Thermo-Aspen 1x5 Nickel-Gap Tongue & Groove Paneling brings a clean, contemporary profile to sauna walls and ceilings. The nickel-gap reveal creates a subtle shadow line between each board, giving finished surfaces a deliberate, architectural look rather than a flush-butted appearance.

Thermo-aspen is heat-treated to reduce the wood's natural moisture content and resin activity, which means the boards remain more dimensionally stable through the repeated wet-dry cycles of sauna use. The 1x5 nominal profile — measuring 15 mm thick by 120 mm wide — offers a substantial feel underhand while keeping individual boards light enough for straightforward single-person installation. Tongue and groove milling locks each course in alignment and distributes any seasonal movement evenly across the wall.

Boards are available in five lengths — 1, 6, 7, 8, and 10 feet — so you can order to match your bench runs, wall heights, or ceiling spans and keep cut waste to a minimum.

Key Features

Thermo-treated aspen: heat processing stabilizes the wood against the moisture and temperature swings inside a sauna, reducing warping and checking over time.
Nickel-gap profile: the small reveal between installed boards creates a defined shadow line, giving walls and ceilings a clean, modern finish.
1x5 nominal dimension (15 mm × 120 mm): thick enough to feel solid, narrow enough to flex around curved or angled layouts without excessive waste.
Tongue and groove milling: interlocking edges keep every board flush and in plane, so the surface stays true even as the wood moves with humidity changes.
Five available lengths (1 ft, 6 ft, 7 ft, 8 ft, 10 ft): ordering the length closest to your wall height or ceiling run reduces on-site cutting and offcut waste.

1'

292 mm length suits accent rows, border details, or small fill sections where longer boards would produce excessive waste.

6'

Practical for standard bench-height wall sections and horizontal runs in smaller sauna cabins.

7'

Matches common 7-foot interior ceiling heights, allowing full-length vertical runs with a single board and no horizontal seam.

8'

Aligns with standard 8-foot stud height, making it efficient for vertical paneling in rooms framed to typical residential dimensions.

10'

Suits taller ceilings or long horizontal feature walls where fewer end joints keep the surface visually uninterrupted.

LUMBER CURBSIDE FREIGHT — QUOTED

Lumber ships curbside freight. The quote is based on the amount of lumber ordered. Our team will provide a freight quote after checkout.

This is the only shipping option when the order includes lumber, including an order that also has a heater. Checkout does not offer another shipping choice on that order.

CURBSIDE

The driver brings the lumber to ground level. Boards over 8 feet ship on a pallet and may need a dock or hand offload. That is part of the quote. We confirm access before it ships.

Great Cold Plunge Tub

This is a great cedar-sided cold plunge tub. I spent a considerable amount of time researching cold plunge tubs and wanted one with real ceder wood to fit my sauna room. It also has a durable heat pump, compared to lower-quality chillers. I have had it a few months and no issues. Also, in the pics below, I have the chiller, which is about a 2' x 2' cube plumbed to a different space for a clean sauna room look. I would highly recommend this tub and the price is less than some on the market.

These guys are AMAZING!

These guys are AMAZING! I’d leave 10 stars if I could. We purchased a barrel sauna and cold plunge from them in fall 2025. They were absolutely terrific to work with! Our contractor and electrician had many (many) questions, all were promptly and kindly answered. They even customized our order by selling an extra long cord so we could install control panel inside for extra protection in MN winters. Shipping and delivery was a breeze. We are using our sauna daily and love it! Zero hesitation recommending this company! Thank you Johnny and Mitch for all your help!!!

What a wonderful sauna!

Researched many saunas for many months. Finally landed on this one. Only complaints i have are the instructions weren't very well written and the trim on the outside was very difficult to put together. We use it almost daily.
