Description

Aspen Midnight Black 1x4 nickel-gap tongue-and-groove paneling brings a deep, dramatic finish to sauna walls and ceilings. The blackened aspen retains the wood's natural grain character while shifting the visual tone from traditional pale blonde to a rich, matte dark surface — a look that pairs well with both modern and rustic sauna interiors.

At 15mm x 90mm (nominal 1x4), each board offers a sturdy profile without adding unnecessary bulk to your wall assembly. The nickel-gap profile creates a consistent, narrow reveal between boards as they interlock, producing clean shadow lines that add depth and visual rhythm to the finished surface. The tongue-and-groove joinery keeps edges aligned and the installation tight.

Key Features

Blackened aspen finish — the dark treatment works with aspen's natural grain to create a matte, contemporary aesthetic without concealing the wood's character.
15mm x 90mm profile (nominal 1x4) — this thickness provides a solid, stable panel that holds fasteners well and resists warping through sauna heat cycles.
Nickel-gap tongue-and-groove joinery — boards interlock precisely while leaving a narrow reveal between each course, adding subtle shadow lines and allowing for natural wood movement.
Available in lengths from 1 ft to 10 ft — having multiple length options lets you minimize waste and match your specific wall or ceiling run without unnecessary cuts.

1'

292mm finished length — suited for accent sections, borders, or areas with tight horizontal spans

2'

Short-run length useful for framed sections and feature walls with limited span

3'

Mid-short length that works well for lower bench walls and partitioned areas

4'

Common length for smaller sauna enclosures where full-length boards would require significant trimming

5'

Versatile mid-length suited to compact to mid-size sauna wall runs

6'

Covers standard ceiling heights in a single board run, reducing seams on vertical installations

7'

Accommodates taller sauna walls or angled ceiling runs without piecing together shorter boards

8'

Full 8 ft run spans typical wall heights end-to-end, keeping seam count low for a cleaner finished surface

9'

Extended length for longer horizontal runs or oversized sauna interiors where fewer joints are preferred

10'

Maximum available length — minimizes the number of boards and seams across long uninterrupted wall or ceiling spans

LUMBER CURBSIDE FREIGHT — QUOTED

Lumber ships curbside freight. The quote is based on the amount of lumber ordered. Our team will provide a freight quote after checkout.

This is the only shipping option when the order includes lumber, including an order that also has a heater. Checkout does not offer another shipping choice on that order.

CURBSIDE

The driver brings the lumber to ground level. Boards over 8 feet ship on a pallet and may need a dock or hand offload. That is part of the quote. We confirm access before it ships.

Great Cold Plunge Tub

This is a great cedar-sided cold plunge tub. I spent a considerable amount of time researching cold plunge tubs and wanted one with real ceder wood to fit my sauna room. It also has a durable heat pump, compared to lower-quality chillers. I have had it a few months and no issues. Also, in the pics below, I have the chiller, which is about a 2' x 2' cube plumbed to a different space for a clean sauna room look. I would highly recommend this tub and the price is less than some on the market.

These guys are AMAZING!

These guys are AMAZING! I’d leave 10 stars if I could. We purchased a barrel sauna and cold plunge from them in fall 2025. They were absolutely terrific to work with! Our contractor and electrician had many (many) questions, all were promptly and kindly answered. They even customized our order by selling an extra long cord so we could install control panel inside for extra protection in MN winters. Shipping and delivery was a breeze. We are using our sauna daily and love it! Zero hesitation recommending this company! Thank you Johnny and Mitch for all your help!!!

What a wonderful sauna!

Researched many saunas for many months. Finally landed on this one. Only complaints i have are the instructions weren't very well written and the trim on the outside was very difficult to put together. We use it almost daily.
