Description

Thermo-Spruce is spruce that has been heat-treated — a kiln process that drives out moisture and resins, making the wood dimensionally stable and far less likely to warp, check, or bleed sap when exposed to the sustained heat of a sauna environment. The result is a bench board that holds its shape and stays clean underfoot or under hand over years of regular use.

Each board is milled to a true 2x4 profile (26mm × 90mm), smooth on all four sides with eased edges — meaning the long corners are gently relieved so they don't bite into skin during a session. We offer these boards in ten lengths from 1 foot through 10 feet, letting you cut to fit your bench framing with minimal waste regardless of your sauna's interior dimensions.

Key Features

Heat-treated Thermo-Spruce construction — the thermal modification process removes moisture and resins so the wood resists warping, cracking, and sap bleed in high-heat sauna conditions.
True 26mm × 90mm (2x4) cross-section — a consistent, structural profile suitable for bench seats, bench frames, and backrest slats.
Smooth 4 Sides Eased Edges (S4SEE) finish — all four faces are planed smooth and the long edges are lightly rounded, preventing sharp corners from pressing into skin during use.
Available in ten lengths from 1 ft to 10 ft — choose the length closest to your finished dimension to reduce on-site cutting and off-cut waste.

1'

292 mm finished length — suited for short infill sections, end caps, or custom accent cuts.

2'

Approximately 610 mm — useful for compact benches or filler boards where a full-length board would require significant trimming.

3'

Approximately 914 mm — a common width for single-tier bench seats in smaller sauna cabins.

4'

Approximately 1219 mm — covers standard bench depths and shorter wall-to-wall spans without a seam.

5'

Approximately 1524 mm — spans mid-size bench runs and works well as a continuous seat board for one person.

6'

Approximately 1829 mm — one of the most versatile lengths for full bench seats and backrest planks in typical sauna builds.

7'

Approximately 2134 mm — suited to longer bench runs or layouts where a 6 ft board falls just short.

8'

Approximately 2438 mm — covers an 8-foot wall span in a single unjointed board, minimizing visible seams on wide benches.

9'

Approximately 2743 mm — reduces the need for butt joints on longer custom bench configurations.

10'

Approximately 3048 mm — the longest available option, ideal for large custom saunas where continuous board runs are preferred for aesthetics and structural simplicity.

LUMBER CURBSIDE FREIGHT — QUOTED

Lumber ships curbside freight. The quote is based on the amount of lumber ordered. Our team will provide a freight quote after checkout.

This is the only shipping option when the order includes lumber, including an order that also has a heater. Checkout does not offer another shipping choice on that order.

CURBSIDE

The driver brings the lumber to ground level. Boards over 8 feet ship on a pallet and may need a dock or hand offload. That is part of the quote. We confirm access before it ships.

Great Cold Plunge Tub

This is a great cedar-sided cold plunge tub. I spent a considerable amount of time researching cold plunge tubs and wanted one with real ceder wood to fit my sauna room. It also has a durable heat pump, compared to lower-quality chillers. I have had it a few months and no issues. Also, in the pics below, I have the chiller, which is about a 2' x 2' cube plumbed to a different space for a clean sauna room look. I would highly recommend this tub and the price is less than some on the market.

These guys are AMAZING!

These guys are AMAZING! I’d leave 10 stars if I could. We purchased a barrel sauna and cold plunge from them in fall 2025. They were absolutely terrific to work with! Our contractor and electrician had many (many) questions, all were promptly and kindly answered. They even customized our order by selling an extra long cord so we could install control panel inside for extra protection in MN winters. Shipping and delivery was a breeze. We are using our sauna daily and love it! Zero hesitation recommending this company! Thank you Johnny and Mitch for all your help!!!

What a wonderful sauna!

Researched many saunas for many months. Finally landed on this one. Only complaints i have are the instructions weren't very well written and the trim on the outside was very difficult to put together. We use it almost daily.
