Hukka cuts every piece from Carelian soapstone in Tuupovaara, eastern Finland. The family firm has worked the stone for 40 years, and most of its craftspeople have more than 20 years in the trade.

Soapstone holds heat and cold for a long time and does not absorb liquids or smells. We carry Hukka aroma cups and fountains, massage stones, sauna elves, and thermometers.

What is Carelian soapstone?

A dense natural stone quarried in eastern Finland. It holds heat and cold for a long time, does not absorb liquids or smells, and stands up to the sauna.

How do the fountain diffusers work?

Fill the fountain with water and a sauna aroma and set it on the stones. The heat pushes a small pillar of water up onto the stones, which keeps the air moist for longer.

Can the massage stones be used cold?

Yes. Soapstone holds cold as well as heat, so the stones can be chilled or warmed. The Orbits eye stones are made to be used cold.
